hey! most of the photos on this tumblr aren’t mine, but my photos at http://sheisvoyeur.tumblr.com are taken with an ordinary slr (nothing fancy, just a 2 year old canon 450D) so most of the ‘vintage’ look is done in photoshop.
if you’re talking about the pictures on this tumblr, then the vintage look is probably because of using film (instead of digital) where the colours in the photos are much more ‘vintage’ and nostalgic looking. some disposable film cameras might even give you this effect, but my favourite plastic toy is the holga, which is seriously fun! but most of the time i use my praktica :)
there are different vintage looks though, so i’m not sure which one you’re aiming for but the easiest, quickest way to do it is to use curves (particularly the blue channel!). play around with the two endpoints of the blue curve and you’ll start to see something happening! hope this helps xx
